What do Spanish Speaking teens do for fun? What do Spanish Speaking teens do for fun give me some activities they do in mexico give me the website you got the info from please or elas you wont get the points thanks. |
I'm not doing this for the points, and my answer is based on my experience because I'm a Mexican teenager:
Teens here often go out a lot to "antros" (bars, discos, etc). There they dance, drink alcohol and socialize.
They also go "a dar la vuelta/dar el roll", meaning they just drive in their cars with the stereo on; sort of like having a party in your car, with your friends there laughing and being loud.
I say "they" because though those are the most common weekend activities, I personally prefer a quiet restaurant or bar to hang out with close friends, or going to the movies, or for a coffee in the afternoon.
Don't know if this is the kind of information you were looking for, but I hope you find it useful. |
How do spanish teens differ from american teens? I am traveling to spain for a language immersion program and I am participating in a homestay. I want to get my host family gifts that are unique to the US, but I have been having a little trouble brainstorming. I have an 18 year old host sister and a 15 year old host brother, I also have my host parents to get gifts for so any ideas are more than welcomed |
| Spanish families typically love all kinds of regional food or special things from specific regions. Teenagers love music and sports things (lakers gasol jersey?) |
Any interesting Spanish shows or telenovelas for spanish-learning teens? I am about to go into AP Spanish next year and I hope that I can improve my listening and speaking skills by watching some Spanish shows. Where can I watch really interesting shows with english subtitles? |

What are some good sci fi books for teens in spanish? I've read things from the House of Night series to the Twilight and Harry Potter series. Cate Tiernan, HOlly Black etc.
But I wanna start expanding my reading to spanish books and was just wondering if anybody knew of any books in spanish that are good. =] |
I heartly recommend that you check “Caballo de Troya" by J.J. Benitez. You can check Wikipedia's entry at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caballo_de_Troya.
Apparently it now has a total of eight volumes. When I read it, quite a few years ago, I knew of only four or five volumes. The story is fascinating and sometimes makes you wonder if it is really science fiction or not. It also contains an amazing amount of scientific information, which you might also find interesting and educational for young readers. |

| What´s spanish for you? If you mean people from spain, I can tell you that I went to USA this summer and I met an american teen and actually we are no so different. |
What are good Spanish movies for teens, not animated, and not English movies dubbed? Our family wants to practice our Spanish by watching family movies that are produced in Spanish. Know of any good ones? Give us titles and we'll try to track them down somehow. Thanks! |
| Pan's Labyrinth was amazing, but a bit on the scary side to be honest. Its a fairy tale story that takes place in war-torn Spain in the 1940s. Volver was alright, a little strange, and has some mature themes, but good. The Motorcycle Dairies was an amazing film as well, have fun! |
What is the spanish tv show about gay teens? There was a clip on youtube i saw a little while ago and it centered around this one gay teen guy and everyone seemed to like him. It looked like it was made by the crew of degrassi (by that i mean the same type of story telling) but in spanish and centered around a gay teen. Any ideas? |
| There is this show called Física o Química with a cute gay couple, Fer and David. It's also Spanish. |
What is the significance of the "coming of age" party for Spanish teens? When they turn 15, Latinas get a fancy party, what is the significance? |
| The transition from guyhood to womanhood, when they get their first pair of high heels and their last toy doll. Like a debutante party, now she's on the market as a young woman for dating and marriage. |
What is a popular spanish tv show for teens or young adults? I'm looking for a spanish language young adult show. I'd like to watch something like the American shows Gossip Girl or Gilmore Girls, the Canadian show Degrassi, or the British show, Skins. I figure that there must be some equivalent in a Spanish speaking country. Anyone know? |
I'm spanish and here we see Fisica o Quimica (It's very similar to skins, people in a high school, with their problems, teachers, drugs...), but I think that the best is El Internado, a mystery tv show, it has the most of the the young and adult people in the front of TV every Wednesday, jajaj
Actually, I prefer American shows, I'm watching the second season of Gossip girl and the third of gilmore, jaja
Skins is very good too, I love Maxxie! He's handsome!! |
